It is a sad week here because all our island friends from Edgartown, Chilmark, Oak Bluffs, Aquinnah, Gay Head, Tisbury, West Tisbury and the great plains of Katama have left for the season. This is a tough week to transition from full speed summer to quiet fall. But vacation rentals are a bargain now and the fall has some of the best weather of the whole year. The Martha’s Vineyard Striped Bass and Bluefish Derby starts this week and that is a good thing. So get your pole and find your favorite beach it may be South Beach in Katama, Lobsterville beach in Aquinnah or Gay Head as I remember it, Stonewall beach in Chilmark all great real estate.
