Our Team
Jim Joyce
Jim Joyce has been on the Island for more than 40 years. He started as a lunch cook at the old Navigator Restaurant and worked his way up to chef, running Zachary’s in the Kelley House hotel. From the kitchen he moved to the building trades, earned his contractor’s license, and built luxury homes across the Island before earning his salesman’s and later his broker’s license. That practical understanding of how the Island works — and of the relationship between building and land — makes him a great asset to anyone looking to buy, sell, or rent here. Jim believes in giving back to the Island: he has worked with and supported the Boys & Girls Club, MV Youth Hockey, Sail MV, and the MV Preservation Trust, has served on various town committees, and has served on the Martha’s Vineyard Commission.

Deborah Viglas
Deborah Viglas has lived and worked on the Island most of her life. She worked in the Edgartown school for many years, where her son attended as well. For the past several years she has divided her time between the Vineyard in the summer months and Naples, Florida the rest of the year. She specializes in luxury real estate on Martha’s Vineyard and in Florida, and her customers praise her attention to detail and thorough knowledge of each area she represents.

Alison Rich Stearns
Alison brings a unique perspective to Martha’s Vineyard real estate, combining a deep understanding of luxury properties, construction and the Island’s distinctive character. For more than 20 years, Alison has managed, developed, and renovated exceptional properties on the Island alongside her husband, Scott Stearns. Together, they have built extensive experience with high-end homes, land, construction, and the unique opportunities and challenges of Island real estate.
Alison is also the owner of Tashmoo Pond Farm, where she is restoring one of Martha’s Vineyard’s oldest horse farms. As a farm consultant, she specializes in the design and functionality of horse properties, advising clients on barn design, pasture layout, horse flow, footing, equipment storage, and long-term planning.
Known for her integrity, attention to detail, and personalized service, Alison helps clients navigate the purchase, sale, and development of distinctive properties while bringing a passion for creating beautiful, functional spaces.
